Abstract: CSAE has paid great attention to the editorial work for periodicals in the field of agricultural engineering. Since the founding of CSAE, she started to publish the bimonthly periodical, the "Agricultural Engineering" with the content of appropriate engineering technologies at the beginning of 1980 and an advanced scientific quarterly periodical, the " Transactions of Agricultural Engineering of CSAE" in 1985. These two periodicals have presented all the academic work and achievements, extension work and their benefits to rural people and the construction and development of agricultural engineering discipline, in the field of agricultural engineering in China at different developing stages completely and on time.Through the presentation, domestic and foreign exchanges of these two periodicals have promoted the rapid development of agricultural engineering science in China and in consequence, quicken the steps of the modernization of Chinese agriculture.Now the bimonthly "Agricultural Engineering" has changed its name into the "Rural Appropriate Engineering Technology". This periodical has been published 58 numbers and all together it has been printed five hundred thousand copies and distributed to the rural area all over the country. The Transactions of Agricultural Engineering has been published 5 Volumes, 18 Numbers and thirty thousand copies.For the exchanging with foreign agricultural engineers, each article on the "Transactions of agricultural Engineering" has an abstract in English. The Transactions have been distributed mainly to the research institutes and colleges or universities covered the whole country.These two periodicals were awarded the prizes by China Association of Science and Technology and different bureaus of Chinese Ministry of Agriculture. They are also welcomed by the readers.
