Abstract: Foamed-Acid delinting of cotton seeds is a rather complicated agricultural engineering technology. It is not only related to some mechanical engineering technology, but is also related to biological and physical characteristics of the cotton seeds. By means of summerizing many year's experience gained in practical production and a survey of related liteature, the authors conduced a preliminary study on some of the characteristcs of cotton seeds which affect the delinting process, there of drew up fundamental principles for the selection of delinting parameters. This paper, thus, furnished a basis for the dissemination and application of foamed-acid delinting technology.
