Abstract: This paper introduces the pyrolysis combustion characteristic of wood-fuel, on the basis of it a new style fire furnace appilied for drying tobacco is developed. In practice it is demonstration that this new style fire furnace is perfect and energy-saving. The wood-fuel burning in the furnace is complete and efficient without smoke of exhaust-gas, the problems of environment pollution caused by smoke-dust can be overcome and energy utilization efficiency increased and quality of tobacco improved.
