Abstract: Automated Guided Vehicle Systems play an important role in the transformation of the production organization from the traditional format into the flexible integrated one. Besides,AGVS is a type of effective equipment to the realization of automatic transportation in many different fields. In the agricultural engineering field, AGVS technology is closely related to the research and development of agricultural mobile robots.This paper introduces the origin, Development, application and future trend of AGVS in the world. It can be taken as the reference material so as to enhance the research and development of the technology on AGVS in China.
