Abstract:
This paper studies surface characteristics of iron and steel used for tractor drawn and traditional animal drawn plough mouldboards and their inherence with soil adhesion. For the first time, the paper puts forward that the characteristic of soil adhesion is related to the phenomenon of surface electrochemistry. It is proved by theory analysis and test, that increasing the corrosion resistance of materials is of benefit to reducing adhesion and scoring soil. The study could not only provide, in practice , simple and reliable references for the content design and material selection of soil-touching parts , and for the development of iron base functional materials of reducing adhesion but also open up , in theory , a new field of vision for the study on soil adhesion , and has an significance to the theory const ruction of soil adhesion and study on the material producing techniques of reducing adhesion and scoring soil.
