Abstract: This paper illustrates the Quzhou county as an example of the landscape evaluation and explores the possibility of introducing the landscape ecology evaluation into land use planning. The results show that the method of landscape evaluation is effective to the process of land use planning. Land suitability evaluation cannot give enough information and analysis of present situation of land use as lack quantity index in the past land use planning. The new method can avoid these weaknesses. Moreover, the method can also promote the quantity analysis in land use evaluation and land-use planning.
