Abstract: This paper analysed,the agricultural water use state and the tendency in the future China and proposed the key technology in water-saving agriculture that may be advanced by leaps and bourids in 21st century，i.e. water-saving and high efficiency,irrigation schedule, water-saving methods and technology,irrigation management technology,technology, of water harvesting and use with high efficiency,sustainable use of regional water resources, etc. It was evaluated that the contribution of agricuItural water-saving technology to 2lst agriculture in China.Countermeasures of developing water-saving agriculture in China were Dresented at last.
