Abstract:
In order to introduce reforms in graduate training in agricultural mechanization engineering (A M E) for the 21st century, in line with the development of agricultural engineering at home and abroad, with the revised “List of Disciplines in Which Graduate Training is Provided and Ph D and Master Degrees are Awarded for the Nation”, and with the situation of agricultural mechanization in our country, the paper expounds and proves the urgency of graduate training in A M E. Based on 52 themes of masters theses, the paper reviews the direction of graduate training and suggests several approaches to meet the need of agricultural development in our country and to be strengthened as prescribed by the abovementioned list. Also the paper makes proposals on issues concerning the description of A M E as a grade II discipline. Finally, to overcome the problem of theory being divorced from practice in graduate training, the paper sums up five methods used and their effects.
