Abstract: According to the bionics principle, a design idea of functionally gradient materials was introduced into the wearresistant material that is frequently used. A new gradient wearresistant material that is fabricated integrally with part, as well as fabrication process of the material were developed. The main parameters of the process were calculated and discussed. The microstructure features, the mechanical properties and the wearresistance of the material were also investigated. 
