Abstract:
This paper studied the effect of grain temperature, initial moisture content and moisture removal on the tempering process in concurrent flow rice drying. The influence of tempering on the increase of drying rate of next drying stage was revealed. The study systematicly analyzed the rice concurrent drying technology and the influence of initial moisture on the drying rate. The relationship between rice tempering and drying rate was revealed. comparisons between the predicted and experimental mean moisture content provided a good agreement.
