Abstract: The importance of environment controlled agricultural facility was discussed. In general, the laboratory experiments were emphasized on the research process from the fundamental principle to applied technology. But the environment controlled agricultural facility is the combination of engineering and the agricultural biological technology. Laboratory experiments are important for the research process from applied technology to industrial production. As an example, the Agricultural Bio Environment Engineering Institute of Zhejiang University set up a series of facilities of various structure parameters for comparing. Through series of comparable experiments, lots of conclusions were made to improve the facilities step by step and meet the requirements of industry production.
