Abstract: In the light of the common problems of high energy loss,poor voltage quality and rampant power stealing in low voltage networks at present time, a new type of low voltage split insulated conductor was developed, and a new power supply mode which is based on the structure of this conductor was put forward. The results from two years' implementation at demonstration areas showed that it has great social economic benefits, and the key importance of relieving peasants' burden, saving energy and increasing efficiency by applying it.
