Abstract: This paper related the structure & the principle of the bowl seedling transplanter model 2ZU6. It is composed of diesel engine, chassis formed by one wheel & ship board, devices (right side and left side) for taking out the seedlings from the seedling plate, conduits for the rice seedlings falling in it and frame. Its working principle is that cams pushed the push rods into the bowls on the seedlings plate from its back, so that the lumps of clay in which the rice seedlings had grown were taken out, and fell down the field on which the ship board had slided. Its performances and characters on the way of raising rice seedlings, taking out rice seedlings and transplanting were analyzed. According to the experiment results in several experiment spots in 1999, its economic effect in the application was analyzed and compared with several transplanting ways, e.g. man made transplanting, man made throwing and mechanical throwing. The paper presented the following conclusions: the bowl seedling transplanter planted rice bowl seedling well in orderlines, which is suited both ordinary rice and hybrid rice, and to both spring rice and summer rice. This machine can raise relatively the production and has good economic effect.
