Abstract:
Diosgenin is one of the main ingredients with activity in Yam. How to improve the yield of Diosgenin and how to process the waster solution after extracting Diosgenin are always the problems in practical production. The technology of extracting Diosgenin and Glucose in the hydrolysate of Yam hat been studied. The extracting technology of Diosgenin and G1ucose at the same time was presonted according to the characteristic of hard solubility of Calcium Sulphate. The optimum parameters of neutralization and decolorizing and desalting were determined. The results showed that the new method is better than that of traditional methods in the lightof the yield of Diosgenin and obtaining highly pure G1ucose from the waste hydrolysate.
