Abstract:
More and more attention is paid to subsoiling as a technique for processing agricultural soil. High operating resistance is the main special feature of subsoiling operation. The presently applied situations of subsoiling techniques in production and the up-to-date progress to research the interacting problem of subsoiler-soil are reviewed in this paper, including dynamic response of subsoiler to soil action during subsoiling, surface modifying techniques for tillage tools, and soil structures and morphologies after operating. It is concluded that optimizing the geometric shape and using suitable surface modifying techniques for subsoilers can reduce the operating resistance and abrasion of subsoilers against soil. As a result, the production cost of subsoiling operation can be decreased effectively.
