Abstract: The advances in the studies of postharvest physiology, postharvest pathology, differing storage and transport characteristics of cultivars, storage and transport technologies for longan fruits under ambient temperature, in cold storage or with controlled atmosphere storage, antiseptics, irradiation, heat treatment, technological process of postharvest treatment, establishment of quality assurance and control system are comprehensively summarized in this paper.
