Abstract:
In order to study the correlations between chemical-physical characteristics and nutrient contents in broiler manure, 20 typical fresh broiler manure samples were collected. By using specific gravity (SG) meter and electric conductivity (EC) meter, the SG and EC values in the broiler manure samples were determined. Based on lab analysis, the content of N, P, K and NH
4+-N in broiler manure were given. According to the results of regression analysis of the above data, specific gravity (SG) correlates well with P content (R
2=0.8447, P<0.001), and electric conductivity (EC) correlates accurately with NH
4+-N and K levels (R
2=0.734, P<0.001 and R
2=0.852, P<0.001). In this case, P, NH
4+-N and K contents in broiler manure can be estimated precisely through a quick test of SG and EC values.
