排气催化转化器气流分布的数值模拟和试验

    Numerical simulation and testing research on flow distribution in catalytic converter

    • 摘要: 运用计算流体动力学对汽车排气催化转化器气流特性开展数值模拟。对4种不同的催化转化器结构的气流特性和压力损失特性进行对比,采用平滑过渡的引流结构,压力损失最小。对不同排气流速的气流场分布和压力损失进行了模拟和分析。研究表明排气流经催化转化器的压力损失主要是由排气流进和流出载体通道时产生的,由于载体通道入口对气流的阻碍作用,使得气体流入载体各通道的流速趋向一致。通过试验证明采用计算流体动力学开展催化转化器气流分布、压力损失的优化是可行的。

       

      Abstract: Computer fluid dynamics(CFD) is adopted to simulate the flow fields of a catalytic converter while researching the working process of an emission postprocessor. The velocity field and pressure field of exhaust gas are obtained. Methods of structural optimization of catalytic converter for improving gas flow and conversion efficiency are proposed. The pressure loss of catalytic converter is caused mainly at the locations of inlets and outlets of monoliths, and flow distribuation in the catalyst is almost flat due to honeycomb resistance. The results are verified by experiment.
