Abstract: The structural features of the GNF56×2 type single screw thick slurry pump are discussed in this paper. The pump's design method, as well as the measures and items used in pump operation, were proposed by examining the abrasion mechanism of non-Newton fluid. Therefore, the problems of its short life-span and its decreasing performance rate were solved. The results showed the advantages of using this kind of pump and that its design is much better than the pumps that are commonly used.
