Abstract: The geometric dimension of gingko fruit was measured and the finite element model for shelling gingko was put forward in this paper. The stress distribution and strain of gingko shell are analyzed under different conditions of force or pressure. The optimum direction and pattern of pressure are found out and the device for shelling gingko was developed on the basis of previous analysis.
