Abstract:
To establish a modern production management system for large scale poultry farm, series technologies, such as multimedia technology, network technology, artificial intelligence and automation technology, are adopted. Through integration with Artificial Neural Network and Expert System, Chicken-Disease Expert System was improved. An Immunity & Vaccination Memo System also was created. The network application system is composed of a set of subsystems, including Production Statistics System, Production Planning System, Feed Formula System, Feed Inventory System, Immunity Inoculation and Chicken Disease Diagnoses Expert System, through which enterprise resources can be shared and utilized at database level efficiently; the subsystems can be applied separately according to customer's options. At the same time, remote poultry farm management was implemented successfully through the use of sensors, industrial control computers and vidicons. The temperature and humidity of chicken house could be monitored, real-time video could be captured with moving vidicons, and the facilities of chicken house also could be controlled automatically. The research result shows: the system is integrated intensively and multiple new computer technologies are implemented in such a single comprehensive system, the system has been applied in several large scale poultry farms located in Beijing, Shanghai and Nanjing.
