Abstract: Depending on a great deal of full and accurate data, the report introduced the situation of ecological environment and the rural energy ecological construction in the 6 counties of Liaoning Eastern Mountain Area, and brought forward the suggestion on further developing of the rural energy ecological construction in this area. The forestry in the Eastern Mountain Area is the natural green barrier of Liaoning Province, and possesses great ecological and economic values. The 6 counties share the most of the forestry resources in Liaoning Province. Traditionally, a lot of firewood is used in the farmers' daily life. So, there were a lot of water and soil losses, and the ecological environment worsened. Further strengthening the rural energy ecological construction is the significant act of forestry resource protection, and the important part of sustainable development strategy in Liaoning Eastern Mountain Area. The rural energy ecological construction with the aspects of understanding, legislation, research, training, investment, and system building were suggested.
