Abstract: Snow on the greenhouse roof has a great effect on light transparence and heat loss. It brings bad effect on plant growing and also affects greenhouse structure strength. Using hot water pipe system is a normal way for cleaning snow on the roof, but its investment and operation cost are very high. In order to solve the problem, a kind of equipment for cleaning snow on the greenhouse roof was designed and experiments were done to test its performance. The result is satisfactory. An efficient and cost saving way for cleaning snow on the greenhouse roof was put foward.
