    Automatic detection of yellow-colored rice using image recognition

    • 摘要: 针对现行稻米质量评定中黄粒米指标的检测方法采用人工方式完成,在市场交易中,很难得到有效准确地执行的问题,研究开发了一套稻米品质评价系统。该系统根据RGB色度学原理,利用计算机图像识别技术,可以对稻米中的黄粒米进行自动检测。在对群体米样的色度值分布进行试验研究的基础上,确定了从样品中进行黄粒米分割的最佳色度阈值。本系统可计算黄粒米的粒数及黄粒米粒率。研究结果表明,利用图像处理技术自动识别黄粒米是行之有效的方法。

       

      Abstract: Yellow-colored rice in mass rice is detected by manual method presently, therefore it is difficult that the method is executed effectively and accurately in market business. A rice quality evaluation system was developed. Making use of image recognition technology, a study was made on the feasibility of distinguishing objectively yellow-colored rice from mass rice according to the RGB color theory. An optimal chromatic value was obtained based upon a lot of experiments on the distribution of the chromatic value. It is revealed that automatic detection of yellow-colored rice using image-processing technology could be an effective way for discerning and calculating the number and percentage of yellow-colored rice kernel.
