Abstract:
After having investigated references and research data at home and abroad, this paper introduced a new water-saving technique in orchard, which offered water requirement, improved fruit quality, simultaneously controlled vigour and decreased "luxury" transpiration of fruit tree, i.e., alternate partial rootzone irrigation(APRI). Its theory system, water-saving mechanism and difference with regulated deficit irrigation(RDI) were summarized, research status and problems of the related partial rootzone irrigation(PRD) were also discussed. Some application patterns of APRI in orchard were put forward and their feasibilities and applicabilities were analyzed, then the application prospects and problems of this new irrigation technique were reviewed.
