Abstract: The application principle and development traits of near-infrared(NIR) imaging were introduced in this paper. The application and research status of NIR imaging in agricultural engineering of foreign countries were analyzed. In order to promote the research in this field, several important development aspects and directions for deeper research of NIR image used in agriculture were put forward.
