Abstract:
According to characteristics of regional water resource evaluation work and strong space distribution function of GIS, the feasibility of using GIS in regional water resource sustainability evaluation was approached in the paper. A case study of Lucheng Town, Tongzhou district of Beijing was conducted by using the method. According to combining the GIS technology with dynamic balanced method, the results showed that the groundwater of Lucheng Town was still in serious over exploitation since 1988, and waned 17.15577 million m
3 in 16 years, the groundwater table fell 0.12 m. These showed that the relevant measures should be taken to mitigate the pressure in the region.
