Abstract:
In this paper, a GIS for hydrological cycle of small watershed was designed and realized. This was done by three steps. First, combination modes of GIS and hydrological models were developed. Then, design of framework, functions and database of the system was discussed particularly. Finally, the GIS model for hydrological cycle of small watershed was realized with VB and ArcObjects for the Liudaogou small watershed on the Loess Plateau as a case study. This GIS includes input,management, and output of spatial data and attritute data of hydrological cycle of the small watershed, furthermore the model combines hydrological models with GIS technology, so this GIS is useful for the research of hydrological cycle of a small watershed on the Loess Plateau.
