Abstract:
To study the phenomena of two-phase flow with salt crystallizing in the bittern transfer pump, the 3D turbulent flow in the impeller of the mixed flow bittern transfer pump was simulated on the condition of the rinsing for the first time. In the work, the turbulent flow mode based on Reynolds time-averaged control equations and two-equation turbulent mode were adopted. At the same time the inlet and outlet of the impeller were measured by using the five-hole pellet flow dynamic probe. The velocity and pressure distributions were illustrated. Combined with the numerical calculation and the experimental survey, flow in every part was analyzed. Measurement result shows that the modification way of model accords with the inner flow of the pump basically. Through the work, the viewpoints were developed that the velocity circulation should be considered in the design of the mixed-flow bittern transfer pump with straight cone-shaped suction casing and special axis velocity distribution in the inlet of the impeller is related to the improved design of vane. The conclusion and the viewpoints may be helpful in the future research concerned.
