Abstract:
Variations of layer temperature during pig manure microorganism composting with different amendments were studied. Results showed that positions and width of layers with high temperature changed dynamically during composting. Layer with high temperature presented to 20 cm from composting piles top to 20 cm from composting piles bottom, layers with high temperature increased with composting times. Effects of amendments on commencement and width of layers with high temperature, and its duration were obvious, according to variations of high temperature layers, 20% rice chaff and wood chaff as amendments were appropriate for pig manure microorganism composting.
