Abstract:
The flavonoid of semen cuscutae was microencapsulated using β-cyclodextrin, arabica and ethylcellulose as composite wall materials. The purposes are to perfect its oil dissolvability, improve its stability, conceal its bad flavor from raw material and widen its application. Results show that when the proportion of core-material to wall-material is selected as 10∶90, the optimum ratio of β-cyclodextrin, arabica and ethylcellulose is 19.82∶31.51∶48.67, and the content of glycerol monostearate is 0.4% of core-material, the microencapsulating rate can be up to 88.31%. The core-material of the microencapsule products possesses releasing property in the media of different polarity, and the lasting release in the oil dissolving media is the longest. As a natural antioxidant, the microencapsule products can be used in the oil dissolving media producing antioxygenic activity by controlling release.
