    Design of a prototype of virtual plant combining L-system and image-based modeling

    • 摘要: 为模拟植物的生长或形态特性,探索提出了一种结合图像重建和L系统的虚拟植物可视化原型系统;植物主干采用L系统生成;植物细节对视觉效果影响较小,采用植物器官表面重建;采用规则建模来提高模型的可控性,基于图像重建得到更好的可视效果。试验表明该文方法能够降低建模复杂度,较好实现虚拟植物的可视化展现。

       

      Abstract: A prototype system of virtual plant based on both L-system and image modeling is proposed in this paper. The main ideas of this method are as follows: the main parts of branch and leaf of plant are constructed by L-system; the remainder details of the plant are described by the venation model of plant organ surface. In the given prototype system, the controllability of plant growth model is improved by rule-model, reducing the complexity of plant model and enhancing the visual presentation of virtual plant growth. The experiment results that the prototype is feasible.
