Abstract:
There is substantial need of automated seeders to improve the efficiency and accuracy in seeding. This paper reports the application of 2BYF-6 type no-tillage rape combine seeder in Yuanjiang, Dingcheng, Lixian and Anxiang counties in Hunan Province. The experimental results show that the no-tillage rape combine seeder is appropriate when soil moisture content is between 20% and 40%. Although, the machine can meet the requirement of seedling density per unit area with reducing the cost by about 32%, in comparison with that of working by hand. The cost incurred with planting seedling decreases by about 60.3%. According to the results, 2BYF-6 no-tillage rape combine seeder can bring into operation in the Dongting Lake area successfully with high economic value and social benefits. The know-how gained by the experiments provides a reliable basis for promoting large-scale mechanized rape planting integrated with the engineering technology and agronomy.
