Abstract:
Cyromazine (2-cyclopropylamino-4, 6-diamino-s-triazine) is a triazine pesticide used for fly control in crops production and animal feed, by inhibiting insect growth. In recent years it has been detected in food and environment in the countries where it has been used, which caused the potential environmental risk and human health problems. This paper introduces research advances in the biotoxicology and environmental behavior of cyromazine and shows that due to having a similar structure with other toxic triazine compounds and having the ability to leach through certain soil types and contaminate groundwater, study on cyromazine in biotoxicology and environmental behavior should be carried out in China.
