Abstract:
Sweet sorghum stalks convert to fuel ethanol by solid-state fermentation with simple technology process and low pollution. The paper mainly studied critical factors of solid-fermentation from sweet sorghum stalks to ethanol, the results showed that under the optimum conditions, 3% inoculation, original water content about 76%, 0.25% CaCl2, 0.25% MgSO4?7H2O, the ethanol yield was 6.42 g/(100 g) sweet sorghum stalks ,conversion rate was 90.5% at 40℃ for 24 h, and residue sugar was less than 0.3%. Adding 10 FPU/g cellulase, 10 CBU/g β-glycosidase? for simultaneous saccharification and fermentation, the ethanol yield was 7.53 g/(100 g) sweet sorghum stalks, which was enhanced by 14.6% due to the bioconverserion polysaccharides to ethanol.
