Abstract:
A new soil moisture prediction approach is developed . Based on meteorology elements prediction in a period of future days and prediction model parameters of localization revision, crop-soil water balance principle and dual crop coefficient approach and Priestley-Taylor model are applied for dynamic soil moisture prediction in future days. RS and GIS techniques are also introduced in model prediction for getting currently important parameters such as vegetation types, albedo, vegetation cover and soil texture in Beijing space. With RS and GIS techniques, soil moisture visualization forecast for Beijing can be visually implemented.
