Abstract:
In order to find out an accurate and practical soil water movement simulation method for infiltration irrigation management, in this paper, investigations of field subirrigation using a rubber-based porous pipe were carried out, and Green-Ampt Model and Philip Method for solving one-dimensional Richard Equation were used respectively to simulate the soil water movement in perpendicular and horizontal directions. By comparing the modeling with the on-the-spot survey results, the simulations were estimated. The research results indicate that Green-Ampt Model shows a high accuracy in perpendicular simulation, but in horizontal direction obvious differences between simulation results and field measurement values exist.
