Abstract: Based on the land use actuality map over the same period and the cadastral survey map of Beijing collective land from different land classifications, farmland use types and structure inside the rural residential land were analyzed with the current land use classification of Pinggu district, Beijing. And then the ecosystem-service value of rural residential land of Pinggu district was calculated. The results showed that the rural residential land was a mixed land use type which had ecological service function. The ecological service function played an important role in the maintenance of the ecological environment inside the rural residential land. Ecological service function components of rural residential land were changed regularly in different zones. The results can benefit the pilot work that “balance the construction land quantity between the decrease of the rural residential land and the urban construction land” as well as the establishment of accounting system of environmental economy. The results have important reference meaning to rural sustainable development.
