    Energy consumption analysis in life cycle of cassava fuel ethanol production and the advantages of the new technology in energy consumption

    • 摘要: 发展燃料乙醇是中国替代能源战略大框架下的成熟模式,木薯燃料乙醇因为不耗用粮食原料也日益提上发展日程。该文引入生命周期理论,对木薯燃料乙醇系统的三个阶段进行了能耗分析,重点讨论了燃料生产阶段采用新旧工艺对周期能耗的影响。能耗计算发现,采用新工艺可以较大地增加系统周期的净能量产出,提高系统的能效;加强副产品的开发,使用农家肥替代化肥也可产生同样的效果。

       

      Abstract: Fuel ethanol becomes one of the most important liquid fuel as the substitute of fossil fuel. Cassava fuel ethanol production is concerned, because cassava is not food materials. In this paper a life cycle energy assessment model of cassava-based fuel ethanol was established; Energy consumption of the three parts in the processes were calculated. Different technologies were discussed in the stages of ethanol conversion and their energy consumptions were analyzed to find out the best technical route for the producers based on the statistics. The results show that adopting new technologies, enhancing development of byproduct and employing livestock manures instead of chemical fertilizers can greatly improve the energy efficiency of the system.
