SOLAR ENERGY AND STONE BED HEAT STORAGE SYSTEM

This paper expounds the importance of heat storage system in the exploitation and application of solar energy. It emphatically introduces the operation of rockbed storage system in many kinds of applications of solar energy. For example, in the civil building, in the drying system, in the heating of animal house and in the power system. Finely it sums up the advantages and weaknesses of rockbed and points out that the rockbed has the advantages such as wide-spread resource, simple construction, easy operation and maintanance, less cost of building and long life-span. The weaknesses such as big volume, massive weight, unelegant looks etc. are not conspicuous contradictions in the agriculture. As the solar energy to be further exploited and used in our agriculture the rockbed storage system will play the positive role.
