AN APPROACH TO THE OBJECTIVE RULE AND CHINESE WAY OF THE DEVELOPMENT OF AGRICULTURAL MECHANIZATION

    • on the basis of a brief review of the conditions for development, the management models and the comprehensive benefits of agricultural mechanization in the developed countries during uhe past century, the general objective rule of agricultural mechanization development is drawn in this paper as follows: The main motive force to bring about agricultural mechanization is the shortage and inadequacy of the rural labors in quantity and technology to meet the need of the growing agricultural production. Its speed depends upon the level of rural economy and the economical benefits of mechanization.According to this objective rule and our national conditions such as a large socialistic country, the sharp differences between regions, the small average cultivated land per capital and the low technical and economical level in the countryside, and the features of agricultural mechanization as it proceeds in a new period of development in recent years, the author points out that: Taking the synchronous development of the diversified economy and sideline industries and the financial supports based on the national policy as prerequistes, the Chinese way of agricultural mechanization, as a whole, will be selective and staga by stage according to the three principles mainly focusing on the machinery of medium and small size, the custom service of machinery and the cooperative managements among the multiple systems.
