STUDY ON THE SOIL SPECIFIC RESISTANCE IN JIANGSU PROVINCE

In order to find out the soil specific resistance in various regions in China, the following measures are recommended.Firstly, the soil specific resistances of varions reprsentative soil types in various regions are determined with suitable force-scnsing unit, installed in the traditional plow.Secondly, the regression equation for specife soil resistance is established with clay content and moisture content as independent variables.Collecting the available data of clay content and soil moisture content in various regions, and substituting those into the regression equation, the predicated values of soil specific resistance are obtained.Finally, the map of soil specific resistance in various region can be drawn with statistical results of measured values and predicated values.
