A STUDY ON THE MEDIUM TRIMMER OF TEA BUSHES

A motor-driven trimmer has been developed for medium pruming of tea bushes. It may be used either carried by two persons or pulling.The productivities of the trimmers, both model XZ-800 and model XZ-1200, are the same of 0.8-1.0 mu/hr.1. The yield of pruned was higher than that of controlled by 10.95%.2. The labour productivity has increased by more 8 as campared with that of hand pruning.3. The cost percentage reduced to 38.04% compared with hand shearing.4. The ratio of broken branches caused by machine pruning was more than that by hand shearing, but the influence on the development of tea bushes and the yield per unit area yet remains to studied.
