THE RAISING EFFECT OF DIFFERENT COLOR LAMPS ON LAYERS

    • In this article eight different color lamps bought from the market were used to test the raising effect of layers. There were 3, 600 white leghorn layers (from o to 40 days old) to be divided into eight groups to receive eight different treatments with eight different color lamps . The items to be examined were: gain of body weight, death rate, inhibition or excitation, susceptibility and cannibalism. The testing results showed that the best treatment is under the light of red lamp and the worst one is the infrared ray lamp. As the full score is 32 points, layers to be raised under the red lamp got 27 points and those under the infrared ray lamp only 7 points. Th order of the score under the different color lamps from the best to the worst are red lamp, orange lamp, bluelamp , indandescent lamp, incandescent plus ultraviolet lamps, fluorescent lamp and infrared ray lamp.
