    • Based on theoretical analysis of the movement of material particals in the drum dryer, a new calculation equation for the staying time of material particles in the drum is derived in this papers. Two necessary and sufficient conditions for drum dryer design are presented in this papervtoo These may lay vthev foundation of the rational structure design for a drum dryer.
