It has put forword several proposal for costracting agricultural base, improving land of low production, developing land and appraising land. It has investigated land use in the tropical area and agricultural ecology of the oasis in Qaidam Baisin in China, hi this time, it has contacted with 610 department in 28 proviences building the network of information, and has compiled and printted " Reference material of the land use engineering" , " handbook of land use engineering" and has been compiling" Chinese encyclopaedia", "Chinese Agricultural encyclopaedia" , and has launched feasibility of production base of animal husbandry in the Nei Monggol and Hebei provience, and the Heshan Gorge irrigation area in yellow river valley and soon. From now on, special committee of land use will be towords study as a whole and comprehensive in terms of theory and practice.
