Abstract
The water has a useful property that it can release or absorb great amount of latent heat. energy during the phase change between the ice and the water. So, we can use water as thecooling resources in the winter time and to store the vegetables and fruits in the warm seasons.The paper describes the principles, features and recent status of researches on the storage and utilization system of this cooling resources in the winter for the long - term vegetable storage in the warm seasons.The paper also analyses the significance and the bright future of this system in China .
