A Study on Thin-layer Drying of Peanut Kernels

    • A test of thin-layer drying for peanut kernels has been taken. The test indicates that the drying rate of peanut kernels was affected by air temperature, wind speed, air relative humidity and initial moisture content of kernels. The results show that air temperature is the greatest effect on drying rate, the velocity of air the second one, then the initial moisture content of the kernels and the air relative humidity the smallest effect. A mathematical model has been formulated for thin-layer drying of peanut kernels.
