Development of a Computor Auxiliary Management System of Two Hundred Thousand Laying Hens Production (Ⅱ)

    • During concentrated hen production, a statistical treatment made of 200000 hens is one of the most tedious tasks that faces production and statistics department. For this reason, we used a Chinese FoxBASE-PLUS Disk 2. 00 on a microcomputer IBM-PC/XT to have established a database dealing with various statistical data in concentrated hen farm production to realize microcomputer management for hen production. This system was designed on the methodology from top to bottom with multiple functions of database set up, inquiry, deletion, revision and amplication. Data accumulated in hen production were then put on daily files of chicken, younger and egg hens, and thus formed a series of monthly, seasonal yearly and phasic files, in which weekly one only need inquiring in its corresponding monthly one. According to user' s requirement, the system can rapidly process and output weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly data. All of these data have been input. Processed and printed in 1987, and put into the computer management and man - controlling management stage. In the computor IBM - PC/XT,dBASE Ⅲ and editing BASIC, FoxBASE-PLUS Disk 2. 00 software were used to analyze and treat information of hen flocks in reasonable circulation, productivity quota, plan implementation, and cost of feed processed and kept in or out of stock, from which 12 report forms are clearly obtained and therefore used in hen production. Based on data output, hen-raised managers can both control their present hen production situation and compare this situation with the production programme designed in the future. Therefore, management level and work efficiency will be raised.
