Abstract
Two kinds of process flow of 2000 ton corn seed processing systems applied in Jilin Province were simulated on a digital computer. Improvements are recommended to the 1st process flow according to matchine problems raised on work sites and simulation results. It is suggested that capacity of seed sieving machine be doubled to shorten the working season and improve economy. Systems with various numbers of drying bins are analyzed. The number can be reduced for present system by 4 if a new system is to be built. The 2nd process flow was also simulated and analyzed. The primary analysis has shown that the 2nd process flow does not show much advantage over the 1st one. Further analysis can be conducted by simulation and comparison with collecting practical data in energy consumption.
